Beloved wife and mother, Beverly (Joann) Tessmer, passed away January 3rd, 2024 after a brave battle with Dementia. Born January 12, 1935. She returned home to the Lord at the age of 88. She departed, at home, in the presence of the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Tessmer and family.

Joann was born and raised in Vallejo, Ca. She met her husband, Bob, while attending Vallejo High School. They married shortly after and enjoyed 7o years of marriage until the time of her death. She raised four children: Melissa, Melinda, Shandra, and Robert. 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren were blessings in her life. Her passion in life was serving as a housewife enjoying her husband and family. Joann had many talents and hobbies. While attending high school, she was a member of the Vallejo Rainbow Girls and marched in parades as a majorette twirling her baton. She supported her children in many activities: “Campfire Girls,” 4-H , swim team, Judo, tennis, horseback riding, sewing, cooking, catechism. and more.

Mom thrived living in Mt. Shasta. She became the president of St. Anthony’s Alter Society helping to bring BINGO to the church. She was a member of the Siskiyou County Horseman’s Association where she and Dad rode horses together on many hills and trails in Siskiyou County. Mom and Dad were members of Siskiyou County Fly Tying Club and Dunsmuir Rod and Gun Club. Later, Mom joined Siskiyou County Genealogy and became an avid researcher of our family history and scrapbooked several beautiful binders full of family information. In addition to all of her interests, and most importantly was her non-stop love and devotion to my fatheras he was to her. Mom supported our father as a member of the Navy, California Highway Patrol, Knights' of Columbus, and American Legion. Joann led a well-lived life of love, faith in the Lord, and fun. She left us with a full heart.

A “Celebration of Life” for Beverly (Joann) Tessmer will be held May 18th, 11:00, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church parish hall. Family and Friends are invited to join us.

In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to do so, please make a donation to St. Anthony’s Alter Society or the Alzheimer’s Association at https://act.alz.org
