Donald Edward Linebarger

Don was born in McCloud, CA on Dec. 23, 1926, the youngest of three children born to Willard and Margaret Linebarger. Upon his mothers death his father married Gladys Kimsey who helped raise him. He grew up in McCloud and joined the navy at 18. He was a WW2 veteran and served in the Pacific. After leaving the military he spent most of his adult life in south Siskiyou County. He was married three times and raised four children. His first wife JuneAnn Walch died shortly after their marriage in 1946. His second marriage in 1949 to Aileen Wheeler produced two sons, Bruce and Dale. His third marriage in 1971 was to Donna Best, who brought her two children, Christene and Robert from a previous marriage.

He worked in many industries but primarily as a grocery store manager in Dunsmuir. In his retirement he enjoyed spending time with Donna and watching wildlife from their house in Mount Shasta. He is survived by his wife of 52 years and his children and their families. As per request no services were held. His ashes were interred at the Veterans Cemetery in Igo.
