She worked as a Social Worker for the NorthStar Foster Family Agency, Mercy Medical Center, and Shasta Regional Medical Center. She loved working with youth in the foster care system, women, and the geriatric population. She was so good at it too.

Along the way she obtained the credentials to preform wedding’s and presided over the ceremonies of numerous family and friends over the years.

She was very social and always had a close circle of dear friends wherever she put down roots. As such she opened her heart and door to many over the years and touched the lives of numerous people. She was an avid reader, prolific gardener and lifelong pet lover. She was especially fond of the Chinese Crested breed. She considered her children her greatest accomplishment.

At her wishes she will be cremated. A celebration of life event will be planned for later this year. An online memorial can be found at Sticklin Funeral Chapel, Centralia, WA. Please share your favorite memories of Bettylou.
